Staging Your Home With Paint
Selling your home can be a stressful process. Refreshing things with a coat of paint can make that process a lot easier. Curb appeal isn't just for the exterior, it should carry right through the front door and into the house. Staging your home can help you to get the most money for your property. Remember first impressions can be everything and that you're selling your home, not your tastes and style. Rooms that seem cluttered or have a particular style or scheme may give the wrong first impression.
Having minimal furnishings and fresh neutral colors can show what the space could be for the prospective buyer. They should see a blank canvas when they walk into your home for the first time so they can imagine themselves making it their home.
Maybe repainting the entire exterior of your home is out of the question or simply doesn't need it. Focus on refreshing front decks, porches, railings, columns and front doors. These can add lots of curb appeal for short money. Try colors on the ceiling of your front porch it adds a great dimension color. Don't be afraid to go bold on the front door color either, especially if your exterior colors are neutral.
Old kitchen cabinets can be another deal breaker when buying/selling a house. Worn or outdated looking cabinets can really bring down the feel of a kitchen. Try repainting the outside and doors with a clean looking white like Benjamin Moore Cotton Balls 2145-70. Replacing the handles and hardware are also easy fixes that add lots of appeal to your home. The insides of the cabinets can be just cleaned up to save time and money.
Trim can be added to flat doors to give them a bit of character. Try adding a tile backsplash for an added WOW when they walk into the kitchen.
Try some of these paint tips to help bring top dollar for your home, sooner rather than later. Thinking of giving some of these ideas a try? Give me a call or shoot me an email and let's get started!
