Recycling Paint in Massachusetts

Below is a partial list of some local Recycle Centers & Town Information Numbers. Some of these towns only allow drop off of hazardous materials on certain days of the year while others allow for daily drop-off. Always call first and get up to date information. If your town is not listed be sure to check with  http://earth911.com/ to check for your town or city. To find your town on this page use ctrl+f (or command+f for mac users) then type in your towns name.

Another option for left over paint is donating it. Church groups, schools, community centers and other organizations will gladly take large amounts of left over paints. Trading your left over paint on http://www.massmaterialtrader.com/ is an option as well.

Still another option is using up the old paint. Create a project the whole family can get involved in like a club house or dog house and use the old left over paint. Mix the paint to create unique fun colors.

If you suspect any paint of containing lead consult your local town hazardous waste program on how to handle the paint. Lead paint has been banned since 1978 so chances are you don't have any left overs hanging around, but if you do, it needs to be disposed of properly.
